Home - Achieve With Your Strengths

Achieve with your strengths!

Until today, you most likely have gone through your education learning to improve upon your weaknesses. At Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, we believe that each student has a set of unique STRENGTHS upon which their education should be based.

Beginning with the Fall 2003 Freshman class, A&M-CC will help each student identify, take ownership of, and develop their strengths.

What is the difference in a Strengths based teaching method as opposed to the teaching method used by all other public, four year universities? In short, the difference is real, tangible, and valuable to each student in that they will learn more about themselves and how they can improve themselves to make the most for their future.

To learn more about the Strengths Revolution taking place at A&M-CC and how it will assist each student in developing their learning in academics, extracuricular activities and future careers, visit the link below.

Using the StrengthsFinder assessment, students will identify their strengths.

When you possess strengths, sometimes it is so natural to you that you might not even recognize it as a strength!
Once you know and have affirmed your strengths, you must celebrate them and make them truely your own.

We will help each student to identify their strengths and encourage and assist them in developing those strengths.

We will orchestrate opportunities and create activities that will challenge you to apply your strengths.

Strengths Day 2003

Dr. "Chip" Anderson meets with students to sign autographs after their Freshman Seminar class heard how StrengthsQuest was founded and developed.

"Do not try to be someone else. Strive to be the person you really are - - - fully and completely. This is your best avenue to achieving excellence. Excellence is an expression of identity and integrity."

-Dr. Edward "Chip" Anderson
